An American and Indian Wedding Iron City, Birmingham, AL Nikki and Sahil

March 18th, 2018

In 2015, Nikki’s friend Kat, came to me with her wedding planning needs. I was still new to the game of wedding planning but we knew each other from church. Long story short, we ended up having the most gorgeous wedding day that perfectly reflected the couple. Fast forward to 2019, Kat referred me to Nikki. We met over coffee and had the best time day dreaming of what her wedding day could be! In December of 2020, after a year of the most uncertain changes this generation has seen, Nikki and Sahil exchanged their vows and celebrated with their closest friends and family (including a previous AMR couple, Kat and Vinny).

During the planning process, it was very important that both cultures were incorporated and celebrated. We made sure that happened, and from an outsider’s view, it was beautiful to see the cultures mixing their heritage and traditions. The one major request from the groom is that there was red, and lots of it. From the red rose jaimalas, the traditional designs of the bride’s henna, to the cake reflecting those same henna designs, we helped them design an aesthetically pleasing wedding day. It took all hands from our team to make sure their day ran smoothly, and smooth it was.

Thank you Nikki and Sahil for allowing me and my team to play a role in your special day.
